Unit 1 (Pedestrian) was walking westbound on the north side of W 17th Street approaching the intersection with Oberlin Avenue. Unit 2 was traveling southbound on Oberlin Avenue approaching the intersection with W 17th Street. As Unit 1 was crossing Oberlin Avenue; he was struck by Unit 2. Unit 1 came to final rest on the southwest corner of this intersection. Unit 2 was reported to have stopped momentarily; then fled the scene south bound.
