UNIT #1 WAS TRAVELING EASTBOUND IN THE WESTBOUND LANES ON SR 104 JUST EAST OF ALUM CREEK DRIVE. UNIT #2 WAS WESTBOUND ON SR 104 JUST EAST OF ALUM CREEK DRIVE IN THE #1 LANE. UNIT #1 STRUCK UNIT #2 HEAD-ON AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED. BOTH UNITS CAME TO REST IN THE #3 LANE; AND UNIT #2 CAUGHT FIRE. DRIVER #1 WAS TRANSPORTED BY COLUMBUS FIRE MEDICS TO GRANT MEDICAL CENTER IN CRITICAL CONDITION. DRIVER #2 WAS TRANSPORTED BY COLUMBUS FIRE MEDICS TO GRANT MEDICAL CENTER IN STABLE CONDITION. PASSENGER #2 FROM UNIT #2 WAS TRANSPORTED BY COLUMBUS FIRE TO GRANT MEDICAL CENTER IN EXTREMELY CRITICAL CONDITION. ACCIDENT INVESTIGATIONS UNIT RESPONDED TO THE SCENE.
