This accident, involving 1 vehicle occurred on Saturday, January 29th 2022 at approximately 12:00 am. The driver of black Mitsubishi (2006) unsafe speed. Injuries were reported. An officer from Columbus Police Department was present at the scene and recorded the information contained in this report.
Unit One was traveling east on E. Broad street. Once Unit One passed Kingsmeadow lane; it lost control and then went off of the road striking a series of trees. CFD Medic #5 transported the Unit One driver to Mt. Carmel east with life threatening injuries. CFD Medic #5 later pronounced the driver of Unit One at 12:33 AM. CFD Medic #35 transported the two passengers to Nationwide Children's hospital in critical condition. Unit One sustained disabling damage and was towed by Pro Tow. Officers on scene spoke with all three witnesses. All witnesses shared a similar story stating that the driver of Unit One was traveling at a high rate of speed prior to going off the road and crashing.AIU responded and processed the scene.
