This accident, involving 1 vehicle occurred on Wednesday, January 12th 2022 at approximately 5:09 am. The driver of blue; dark 1/OFF KUSTOMS; LLC (2022) drove off road. Injuries were reported. An officer from Columbus Police Department was present at the scene and recorded the information contained in this report.

On 1/12/2022 at 5:09am.; officers were dispatched near the intersection of Groveport Rd; and Williams Rd. on reports of a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival; officers observed the back half of Unit 1 on fire on the north side of Williams Rd.; several hundred feet east of Groveport Rd. Officers observed the front half of Unit 1 on the south side of Williams Rd; across from the back half and into the tree line. Columbus Fire Engine 171 responded; discovering the driver of Unit 1 outside the front half of Unit 1 near the driver's side and to be deceased being pronounced at 5:15am. Officers observed vehicular debris; as well as; tracks from Unit 1. Evidence suggest; Unit 1 to have been traveling westbound on Williams; just west of railroad tracks crossing Williams before suddenly veering off the roadway going left of center and off the south side of the roadway. Evidence suggest; Unit 1 to have struck a tree off the south side of Williams causing it to break in half. The Columbus Accident Investigation Unit responded at scene.
