Unit 1 was traveling southbound Richmond Rd (SR 175) approaching 264 Richmond Rd. Unit 1 drove off the right side of roadway and struck two utility poles. Unit 1 came to a final rest facing southeast. Officers arrived on scene and administered life saving first aid to the unresponsive driver. The driver sustained fatal injuries. The RHFD Rescue Squad transported the driver to UH-Richmond Medical Center. Unit 1 sustained disabling damage. Damage to the utility poles were repaired by the utility company. The SPAN AIU was notified and responded to the scene for investigation. Reference RHPD Incident: 2200096.
