On the above listedc date and time Unit 1 was traveling northbound on Oakwood Ave at a high rate of speed approaching Lawrence Dr and Unit 2 was eastbound on Lawrence Dr approaching Oakwood Ave. Unit 1 failed to stop for a stop sign and entered the intersection of Lawrence Dr and Oakwood Ave. Unit 2 did not have any traffic controls and also entered the intersection. Unit 2 was unable to stop before striking Unit 1 in the left rear with its front center. Unit 1 ran off the road to the right; rolled onto its rright side and then struck a tree with its top. Unit 2 came to a stop after striking Unit 1. Driver of Unit 1 was trapped and was pronounced deceased at 1542 by Columbus Fire Engine 14. Driver of Unit 2 was transported in stable condition to Grant Hospital by Columbus Fire Medic 15 for injuries to her arm and leg. Occupant of Unit 2 was not injured. Driver of Unit 1 was extracted by Columbus Fire Rescue 3 and Engine 14 and then transported to the Franklin County Morgue by the Franklin County Coroners Office. Both Units 1 and 2 were impounded to the city impound lot and held for evidence.
