This accident, involving 1 vehicle occurred on Tuesday, January 4th 2022 at approximately 6:20 pm. The driver of gray Toyota (2010) not discernible. Injuries were reported. An officer from Columbus Police Department was present at the scene and recorded the information contained in this report.

Unit 1 was westbound Gemini Place; approaching the intersection of Antares Ave. Witness stated that he was eastbound; travellling the opposite direction of Unit 1. Witness stated that Unit 1 crossed over the center line; and was briefly westbound in the eastbound lanes before taking a slight left and striking a utililty pole. Witness stated he estimated Unit 1 was travelling at approximately 35 mph and showed no signs of braking. Columbus Fire Medic #24 transported the Driver of Unit 1 to Riverside Methodist Hospital in critical condition. Driver of Unit 1 was pronounced deceased at 7:16pm at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Unit 1 was towed to the Columbus Police impound lot for safekeeping.
