Unit 1 operated NB on E 105 St in excess of the posted speed limit. The driver failed to control the vehicle; which traveled left of center; off the left side of the road; struck a fire hydrant; then a traffic signal support pole which sheared at the base and then struck a wooden utility pole. Unit 1 then came to rest facing a westerly direction with the front in contact with the wooden utility pole near the SW corner of the intersection at Ashbury Ave. Passenger; Lurdes Fiestas-Kunpaz; was pronounced dead on 7/30/22 at 2036 hour per Dr Gallagher at University Hospital.
