This accident, involving 2 vehicles occurred on Wednesday, September 15th 2021 at approximately 8:37 am. The driver of silver Toyota (2006) ran red light. Injuries were reported. An officer from Dayton Police Department was present at the scene and recorded the information contained in this report.
At about 0837 hours on 09/15/2021; Unit Number One was traveling westbound on Stanley Avenue at apparently an excessive rate of speed and when at Kuntz Road failed to obey the red traffic signal light and in so doing collided with Unit Number Two which was turning from Kuntz Road onto Stanley Avenue to travel eastbound on Stanley Avenue. After colliding; Unit Number One and Unit Number Two separated; with Unit Number Two leaving the roadway and coming to rest in the parking lot of 2315 Stanley Avenue. The driver of Unit Number One was removed to Miami Valley Hospital where he passed away.
