This accident, involving 2 vehicles occurred on Sunday, January 24th 2021 at approximately 11:15 am. The driver of blue Chevrolet (2014) failure to yield. Injuries were reported. An officer from Washington (Township of) Police Department was present at the scene and recorded the information contained in this report.
Unit #2 was traveling southeast on SR 31. Unit #1 was traveling southwest on SR 739. Unit #1 failed to stop at a stop sign and red flashing signal. Unit #1 entered the intersection and struck Unit #2's trailer. Unit #1 traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a several small trees and house number sign before coming to final rest. Unit #2's trailer traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a church sign; highway traffic sign; utility pole; Unit #3 and #4; which were unoccupied parked motor vehicles. Unit #4 than struck a utility pole. Unit #2's rear tandem axles separated from the trailer upon impact and struck Unit #5; an unoccupied marked motor vehicle. Unit #5 was pushed into Unit #6 and Unit #6 was pushed into Unit #7. Units #6 and #7 were also parked unoccupied vehicles.
