This accident occurred on Saturday, November 6th 2021 at approximately 6:11 pm. Injuries were reported. An officer from TROY Police Department was present at the scene and recorded the information contained in this report.

Unit 1 was traveling westbound in the curb lane on West Main Street approaching the intersection of Dot Com Drive. Unit 1 then drove up onto the curb and struck a utility box then proceeded to strike a phone pole. The utility box had number 15AS2 on it and the pole number was 76078. Unit 1 struck the phone pole with the front of their vehicle. The operator of Unit 1 stated that he believed he lost consciousness which caused the accident. The passenger of Unit 1 advised she believed the operator lost consciousness as well. No one was cited due to this being caused by a possible medical issue. A BMV retest form was completed for the operator of Unit 1. Later; it was determined that the passenger in Unit 1 had died on 11/8/2021 while at the hospital.
