Single car MVA. Unit #1 was traveling IR90 W B in the slow speed lane approaching Crocker Rd. exit ramp. Unit #1 continued off the roadway into an open field between IR90 W B and the exit ramp at Crocker Rd.; for approximately 300 yrds. Unit #1 struck a cement curb in the weeds and launched up into some trees. Unit #1 rode up a tree trunk into the embankment for the Crocker Rd. overpass. The operator was pinned in the car by the steering wheel and the door had to be cut off by the jaws of life . The sole occupant was transported to SJMC for serious but non life threatening injuries. The vehicle had to be cut down from the trees and was towed by Patton s.
