The driver of unit 2 (a motorcycle) was traveling Westbound on Euclid Ave (US 20) in the #2 lane. Unit 1 was traveling Westbound on Euclid Ave (US 20) in the #2 lane at a high rate of speed and rear-ended unit 2. After striking unit 2; the driver of unit 2 became airborne where he struck a bus stop then a utility pole causing fatal injuries to the driver of unit 2. Unit 1 continued W B on Euclid Ave dragging unit 2 underneath it; unit 1 &2 then caught fire. Unit 1 struck several utility poles before coming to rest. Unit 1 fled the scene but through investigation was identified. r n r nThe Illuminating Company (6896 Miller Road; Brecksville; Ohio 44141; 1-800-589-3101) was advised of the damaged pole; and arrived on scene. r n r nThe driver of unit 1 was located the next day. r n r nSee supplement r n r n
