UNIT 1; A MOTORCYCLE; WAS TRAVELING NORTH ON US ROUTE 40 AND APPROACHED A SLIGHT CURVE TO THE LEFT WHEN IT LOST CONTROL IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NORTHBOUND LANE; AND THE LEFT SIDE FOOT PEG MADE CONTACT WITH THE ROADWAY; CAUSING A SERIES OF GOUGES. THE MOTORCYCLE SLID ON ITS LEFT SIDE OFF THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROADWAY AND INTO THE GRASS; DOWN A SLIGHT EMBANKMENT AND COLLIDED WITH A SERIES OF TREES; COMING TO REST ON TOP OF THE OPERATOR; WHO WAS PRONOUNCED DECEASED AT THE SCENE.
