Unit 2 and Unit 3 were slowing down for the red light at W. Main St. and Oakwood St. Unit 1 was traveling east on W. Main St. when they accelerated and struck the back of Unit 2; causing Unit 2 to go into the tree lawn and spin around. Unit 1 continued and struck the back end of Unit 3 and came to a stop.
