The driver of unit #1 states that he was traveling I-480 West when he felt his left drive tire blow. Driver #1 states that he was unaware of any accident that occurred r n The driver of unit #2 states that he was traveling in the left lane on I-480 West. Driver #1 states that unit #1 was in front of him (right lane) and unit #3 was next to him in the left lane. Driver #2 states that unit #3 then lost control of her vehicle; spun out and stuck the driver side of unit #1. r n Driver #2 states that unit #3 then went off the left side of he roadway and struck the guardrail. Driver #2 states that unit #3 then came back into the roadway; with the driver side facing traffic; and into his lane of travel. Driver #2 states that he was unable to change lanes because there was a vehicle in the left lane next to him (witness vehicle). Driver #2 states that he then struck unit #3 between the driver and rear passenger doors with the front of his unit. Driver #2 states that he exited his unit and assisted with the driver and occupants of unit #3. r n The witness corroborates that story of driver #2. The witness states that after the impact; unit #3 ran off the right side of the roadway and down the embankment; where it rolled over approximately three (3) times; where it came to rest on its tires. r nThe driver of unit #3 was pronounced deceased at 0830 hours.
