This accident, involving 1 vehicle occurred on Sunday, April 11th 2021 at approximately 12:56 pm. The driver of silver Lincoln (2008) drove off road. Injuries were reported. An officer from Findlay Police Department was present at the scene and recorded the information contained in this report.

Unit #1 was traveling S/B in the 500 block of Marathon Boulevard. Unit #1 left the paved portion of the roadway; and continued S/B along a rock and dirt path. Unit #1 reached the end of this path; possibly going airborn; and travelled down an embankment. Unit #1 struck the bottom of the embankment before entering a water retention pond. Unit #1 then continued S/B into the pond; and sank to the bottom. The driver of Unit #1 was unable to esacpe from the sinking vehicle; and was found deceased in the rear passenger's side seat upon the extraction of the vehicle from the pond. On 04/11/2021 at 1129 hours; Ofcr Brickner (#279) and I were dispatched to the area of Freudenberg-Nok (555 Marathon Boulevard) to look for a 2008 silver Lincoln Navigator (OH JBU6003). The vehicle was involved in a pursuit in the early hours of the morning with the Ohio State Highway Patrol; however; the vehicle was lost during the pursuit. We checked the parking lot of the business; as well as; several other parking lots in the area and did not locate the vehicle. I advised dispatch to possibly have the Hancock County Sheriff's Office check the neighborhood to the west of our location; as it was in their jurisdiction. Later; at 1259 hours; I was dispatched back to the area. Dispatch advised Deputy Lowery of the HCSO had possibly located the vehicle in a pond to the south of Freudenberg
