Unit #1 was traveling east on US 62 at a high rate of speed to avoid being stopped by Alliance Police Dept. Unit#1 went off the road to the left; struck a concrete barrier; turned sideways on a grassy down grade and crashed into a group of trees. Unit #1 struck the trees on the drivers side. Unit #1 was split into multiple pieces at the scene. The driver died at the scene.
