UNIT 1 WAS TRAVELING SOUTH BOUND ON S. YELLOW SPRINGS STREET. UNIT 1 RAN OFF THE ROADWAY RIGHT AND STRUCK A TREE IN FRONT OF 1807 S. YELLOW SPRINGS STREET. UNIT 1 THEN PLACED THE VEHICLE IN REVERSE AND DROVE BACKWARDS; NORTH EAST; ACROSS THE NORTHBOUND TRAFFIC LANE AND STRUCK A FENCE LOCATED AT 1660 S. YELLOW SPRINGS STREET. UNIT 1 CAME TO REST ON THE SIDEWALK ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE ROAD WITH THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE FACING SOUTHWEST. SPRINGFIELD FIRE MEDIC 1 RESPONDED AND TRANSPORTED THE DRIVER TO THE SPRINGFIELD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER. THE DRIVER OF UNIT 1 PASSED AWAY AT SRMC. THE DRIVER WAS PRONOUNCED DECREASED BY DR. JAMES SCHNELLER AT 1020 HOURS.
