Unit 1 was S/B on S. Detroit just south of Schneider. Unit 1 lost control and struck a bridge support; causing Unit 1 to spin into on coming traffic. Unit 1 became lodged in the bridge supports for the N/B lane and caught fire. The driver of Unit 1 was trapped inside and was unable to get out. T.O.D. for the driver was 2029 and TFRD had to use mechanical means to remove his remains.
