Unit 1 was NB on SR 310 and swerved to avoid contact with a vehicle in front of them. Unit 1 went off the right side of the road into a ditch and struck a tree. The driver and passenger of Unit 1 was transported to MT Carmel East in serious condition. The passenger was later pronounced deceased. The child in the back seat was taken to Nationwide Children's Hospital.
